Crockett Patrol officers were involved in two foot pursuits over the weekend as they arrested two men with outstanding warrants in unrelated incidents.
On Sunday evening, officers located 54-year-old Robert Ray Hickman Jr. at a residence on West Austin Street. Hickman, who had multiple warrants from Houston and Dallas Counties, fled out the back door as officers surrounded the home. He was briefly lost near the apartment complexes at Rose and Wooten Streets but was spotted again with help from nearby residents. After a second attempt to flee, Hickman was cornered and arrested without further incident. He was booked on five active misdemeanor warrants and charged with Evading Arrest or Detention.
Hours later, on Monday morning, a patrol officer attempted a traffic stop on SL 304. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Josue Luis Delagarza of Crockett, fled in his vehicle before turning onto a dead-end road and fleeing on foot. Officers apprehended him on Parkway Street. During the arrest, Delagarza was found in possession of cocaine. He faces charges of Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and multiple outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
