A stolen vehicle from Wills Point led to a brief pursuit and foot chase in Forney on Monday morning.
At approximately 8:00 am on Monday, May 12th, the Forney Police Department received notification from the Wills Point Police Department regarding a vehicle that had been reported stolen from their jurisdiction.
Forney officers began monitoring roadways and were able to locate the stolen vehicle, a Ram truck, traveling eastbound on Highway 80. Officers initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle.
The suspect driving the stolen truck fled for a short distance before jumping out of the moving vehicle and attempting to escape on foot. Forney officers quickly apprehended the suspect after a brief chase.
No injuries were reported during the incident.
