GEUS Earns National Recognition for Reliable and Safe Electric Service

GEUS has once again received the Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3)® designation from the American Public Power Association (APPA), recognizing the utility’s commitment to providing reliable and safe electric service to the community.

The RP3 designation, valid for three years, honors public power utilities that demonstrate excellence in reliability, safety, workforce development, and system improvement. GEUS is among more than 250 utilities nationwide to hold this distinction.

“Receiving an RP3 designation is a great honor signifying a utility has demonstrated commitment to industry best practices,” said Jeremy Ash, Chair of APPA’s RP3 Review Panel and General Manager at Kansas City Board of Public Utilities.

Alicia Hooks, General Manager of GEUS, praised her team’s dedication: “This is the culmination of a lot of hard work from people who really care about powering our community.”

The APPA, representing nearly 2,000 community-owned electric utilities serving 54 million people, has administered the RP3 program for 20 years.
