Texarkana Police are investigating the city’s first homicide of 2025 following a drive-by shooting that left one man dead and another injured just after midnight on Saturday, May 10.
Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1300 block of Carroll Street, where they found a 21-year-old man inside a home suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 52-year-old man who was also inside the home was injured in the shooting and transported to Christus St. Michael Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to investigators, unknown suspects fired multiple rounds into the house from the street before fleeing on foot. No arrests have been made, and police say the investigation is in its early stages.
