A 16-year-old white male juvenile has been taken into custody by the Kaufman Police Department in connection with a string of business burglaries reported in the early morning hours of Friday, April 25, 2025.
Around 2:08 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, Kaufman patrol officers observed the juvenile walking near a closed business in the 1000 block of East Mulberry Street. Officers recognized evidence connecting him to the earlier burglaries and determined he was preparing to commit another at that same location.
Police say the suspect had the same type of burglary tool used in the previous break-ins, as well as additional evidence in his possession linking him to the earlier crimes.
The juvenile was detained without incident and transported to the Marshall Juvenile Detention Center. The Kaufman Police Department has filed the cases with the Kaufman County District Attorney’s Office Juvenile Division.
