A man was fatally shot late Sunday morning in the Seagoville Farms subdivision, and a 51-year-old suspect was arrested shortly after with a loaded rifle in his vehicle, according to the Seagoville Police Department.
At approximately 11:29 a.m. on April 27, 2025, Seagoville 9-1-1 received a call reporting shots fired and a possible victim down near the intersection of Fountain Drive and Canterbury Drive. Seagoville Police, the Seagoville Fire Department, and Care Flite EMS responded to the scene.
First responders located an adult male lying on the ground with another individual attempting life-saving measures. The first officer to arrive took over efforts before emergency medical personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators determined that the victim had been walking along the sidewalk in the 2000 block of Canterbury Drive when a black sedan drove past, then circled back and stopped in the middle of the road on Fountain Drive. The driver exited the vehicle with a rifle and opened fire on the victim. The victim reportedly returned fire before attempting to flee, but was struck by gunfire.
The suspect fled the scene in the black sedan but was quickly intercepted by officers responding to the call. The driver, identified as Larry Robertson, a 51-year-old Seagoville resident, was found in possession of a loaded rifle and taken into custody.
Robertson has been charged with Murder and is currently being held at the Seagoville Holding Facility. The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Kaisan Haveyan Henderson.
