On Friday, April 25, 2025, Linden Police responded to a disturbance at the Heth Apartments in the 500 block of S. Main St. Upon arrival, officers found the involved parties had separated. One individual was discovered with a head injury and was bleeding.
Emergency medical services were called, and the victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
During the investigation, officers recovered a knife believed to have been used in the assault. As a result, Loyd Wayne Stephen was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault Against Family with a Deadly Weapon. He was transported to the Cass County Detention Center and his bond was set at $50,000.
The Linden Police Department expressed gratitude to the Cass County Sheriff's Office for their assistance in the investigation.
