Bryan Police Make Multiple Arrests in Connection to Officer-Involved Shooting

On March 1, 2025, the Bryan Police Department (BPD) made four arrests in an investigation stemming from a shooting incident that occurred earlier in the day.

At approximately 8:01 p.m., a BPD officer was patrolling the 1800 block of Sandy Point Road when they observed a known suspect displaying a handgun with three other individuals at the apartment complex located at 1828 Sandy Point Road.

As the officer approached the group, gunfire was exchanged, with the officer being struck once in an extremity. The officer was treated and released at a local medical facility. The suspect fled into a nearby wooded area, sparking a large-scale search involving BPD and surrounding law enforcement agencies.

The following individuals were arrested in connection with the incident:

  • Quincy Leearon McMiller, aged 18 – charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and two counts of Deadly Conduct for Discharge of a Firearm
  • Qwanell McMiller, aged 17 – charged with Evading Arrest
  • Juvenile 1 – charged with Evading Arrest and Possession of Controlled Substance PG2 <1G
  • Juvenile 2 – charged with Evading Arrest
