Kilgore Man Arrested for Drugs, Weapons After Complaints of Tattooing Minors

Kilgore Police officers assisted the Department of State Health Services this week in an investigation involving Kolton McNair, accused of providing tattoos to minors after several complaints. Officers made contact with McNair and issued him a cease-and-desist order regarding tattooing.

During the visit, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the residence. Consent to enter was denied, prompting a detective to obtain a search warrant. Upon execution of the warrant, authorities discovered a quarter pound of marijuana, suspected Ecstasy and Fentanyl pills, and multiple weapons, including a Glock with an auto trigger (Glock switch) and a short-barrel AR-15.

Kolton McNair, born in 2000, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of Penalty Group 1
  • Possession of Penalty Group 3
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Prohibited Weapon

All illegal substances and weapons were seized. Law enforcement emphasized the dangers of Glock switches, which are a priority for ATF prosecutions, and the deadly risk of Fentanyl, particularly in cases involving juveniles.

The Kilgore Police Department commended the efforts of Officer Torres, Officer Watson, Officer Santo, Corporal Gesik, Sergeant Holland, and Detective Sims. They stated they will pursue both state and federal prosecution to ensure McNair's operations are permanently shut down.
