Wrong-Way Driver Leads Paris Police on Pursuit, Faces Multiple Charges

On Monday, January 13, a Paris Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle traveling the wrong way in the 200 block of Bonham Street after it drove through an accident scene. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Justin Wade Davis, initially pulled over but then fled the scene, prompting a pursuit.

The officer followed Davis with emergency equipment activated until the vehicle stopped in the 500 block of NW 2nd Street. Davis exited the vehicle armed with a pipe, which he dropped after being ordered to do so. When the officer approached, Davis resisted being handcuffed.

A backup officer arrived to assist, but Davis broke free and fled on foot. He was later located and taken into custody in the 500 block of NW 3rd Street.

Davis faces charges of Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest on Foot, and Possession of Marijuana.
