On Sunday, January 12, 2025, Paris Police responded to a reported disturbance in the 1000 block of SW 19th Street. Officers were met by 27-year-old Stephanie Rea Guatier, who claimed she had been assaulted. Guatier, who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics, admitted to taking "extra" Xanax to help her sleep and provided officers with information that her roommate, Brandon Charles Bergeron, 29, was storing drugs in the residence.
Officers searched the room and discovered a significant quantity of various drugs, along with evidence indicating the narcotics were being processed and packaged for resale. Both Guatier and Bergeron were arrested and charged with possession and delivery of a controlled substance, a felony.
During a safety sweep of the residence, officers encountered Rhonda Kay Lester, 41, in another bedroom. Lester disclosed the presence of methamphetamine and Xanax in her room. A further search revealed numerous illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons, and ammunition.
In a separate room, police found Issac Ray Duran, 28, in possession of methamphetamine, THC wax, prescription pills without a valid prescription, and a semi-automatic rifle.
All four individuals—Guatier, Bergeron, Lester, and Duran—were arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including Manufacturing and Delivery of Controlled Substances, Possession of Controlled Substances, and Possession of a Dangerous Drug. The arrests were made without incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
