Traffic Stop in Henderson Leads to Drug Seizure and Felony Arrest

On January 4, 2025, a traffic stop conducted by Patrol Shift D of the Rusk County Sheriff's Office on Aspin Street in Henderson, Texas, led to the seizure of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.

During the investigation, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle operated by 43-year-old Joseph Waller of Henderson. The search resulted in the discovery of approximately 19.2 grams of suspected methamphetamine and 8 grams of suspected marijuana.

Waller was arrested at the scene and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 1 (four grams or more but less than 200 grams), a second-degree felony.

He is currently being held at the Rusk County Jail with a bond set at $40,000 by Justice of the Peace Pct. 5 Jana Enloe.
