A deadly two-vehicle crash occurred on US 271 South in Lamar County on Monday, January 6, 2025, at approximately 6:12 AM, resulting in the deaths of both drivers.
The crash took place about 0.1 miles southeast of County Road 13300, between Paris and Pattonville. Unit 2, traveling northwest on US 271, collided head-on with Unit 1, which was headed southeast towards the Solar Farm on FM 1503.
According to reports, Unit 1 veered into the northwest-bound lane, causing the fatal crash with Unit 2. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
