Stolen Ford Bronco Recovered, Two Suspects Arrested After Foot Pursuit in Paris

On Thursday, January 2, 2025, at approximately 6:00 a.m., the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force received information about a stolen 2022 Ford Bronco taken from Hugo, Oklahoma, and believed to be in the Paris area. Despite earlier attempts to locate the vehicle, it remained at large.

At around 8:30 p.m., officers received a tip that the stolen Bronco was parked at an apartment complex near Martin Luther King Drive and Fitzhugh. Police placed the vehicle under surveillance and observed it attempting to leave the complex shortly after.

As officers approached, the driver and passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Isaiah Trevon Oneal, was apprehended after a brief chase. With assistance from the Lamar County Sheriff’s Department and their drone unit, the second suspect, 24-year-old Chris Dwayne Brooks, was located and arrested.

A search of the stolen vehicle revealed multiple sets of keys, including one belonging to a Dodge Ram pickup that had been abandoned. Officers also found clothing matching the description of an attempted burglary suspect from earlier that day.

The suspects were transported to the Paris Police Department for processing.

Charges:

  • Isaiah Trevon Oneal (22): Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Evading Arrest, Criminal Mischief (warrant), and multiple Class C municipal warrants.
  • Chris Dwayne Brooks (24): Evading Arrest or Detention.

The investigation is ongoing.
