At approximately 12:18 a.m. on January 1, 2025, Friendswood Police responded to a major vehicle collision at the intersection of FM 528 and Bay Area Boulevard. The driver responsible for the crash, identified as 30-year-old Summer Rachel Liston of Friendswood, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated.
Police say Liston appeared intoxicated at the scene, prompting a DWI investigation. She was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
The vehicle struck by Liston was occupied by three individuals. All three were transported to local hospitals for treatment. One passenger has since been released, while the driver and another passenger remain hospitalized.
The Friendswood Police Department is continuing its investigation into the incident. Additional charges against Liston may be filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
