Wanted Fugitive Arrested in Henderson County After Fleeing Authorities

Clovis Reeves

On December 28, 2024, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Sgt. Johnson followed up on a tip regarding a wanted individual believed to be hiding in the Wagon Tree Subdivision. The suspect, identified as Clovis Reeves, was reportedly driving a 1996 white F350 pickup truck with a flatbed.

Sgt. Johnson located the vehicle partially on the roadway and partially in a ditch at a residence on Buggy Hub Trail. Upon making contact with a man, initially identifying himself as Cletus Cook, the individual later admitted to being Reeves.

Reeves was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by the Hughes County Sheriff's Office in Oklahoma for attempting to elude a peace officer with a dangerous weapon and felonious pointing of a firearm. During the arrest, Reeves was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.

Reeves was transported to the Henderson County Jail and booked for possession of a controlled substance and the active warrant. He is awaiting arraignment.
