The City of Paris has officially selected Rose Beverly as its new City Manager following a nationwide search. During a special meeting on Monday evening, the Paris City Council unanimously approved Beverly’s employment contract.
Beverly, who is set to begin her role on January 21, 2024, will be transitioning from her current position as City Administrator for Berea, KY. She has submitted her resignation, effective January 15, 2024.
The selection process included extensive engagement with a community stakeholder panel, department heads, and final interviews with the City Council. Beverly brings over nine years of government leadership experience, including her role as past president of the Idaho Association of Counties. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona Global Campus, and is also a licensed real estate agent.
Beverly is known for her leadership in strategic planning, sustainability projects, and capital investment planning, particularly in infrastructure improvements. She expressed enthusiasm about her new role in Paris, aiming to build relationships with local, regional, and state entities to promote shared goals and enhance the community.
Paris Mayor Mihir Pankaj expressed optimism about the future, saying, "Rose's vision, experience, and commitment will help Paris expand its alliances and continue to grow as a great place to live, work, and play."
Beverly was chosen from 55 applicants, with the top three finalists participating in a meet-and-greet with citizens and stakeholders in November. The City Council conducted thorough interviews and due diligence before entering into contract negotiations.
