A search warrant executed on Saturday, November 25, 2023, led to the recovery of over $100,000 worth of stolen property, including tools, landscaping equipment, and a heavy-duty excavator, in connection with a series of car burglaries in Royse City on November 14, 2024.
Detective Steve Tigert of the Royse City Police Department, who was assigned to the case, identified a possible suspect and coordinated with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office to conduct the search in an unincorporated area of Dallas County.
During the search, several items believed to be stolen from the Royse City burglaries were recovered, including tools and equipment. Authorities also found a stolen excavator from Ellis County, a truck, and vehicle parts from Dallas County.
Detectives are in the process of contacting the victims of the burglaries to confirm the stolen items. The total value of the recovered property exceeds $100,000.
