Three Corvettes were stolen from Peters Chevrolet early Sunday morning, November 24, 2024, prompting a multi-agency pursuit that extended into Louisiana.
Gregg County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Craig Harrington stated that the stolen vehicles fled eastbound on I-20 toward Louisiana. Law enforcement intercepted one Corvette near Waskom, deploying spike strips that disabled the vehicle. The driver abandoned the car and attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by authorities.
The second Corvette was recovered in Shreveport, while the third was located at an undisclosed site in Louisiana. Chief Deputy Harrington confirmed that all three vehicles have been recovered and are in law enforcement custody, awaiting return to the dealership.
No suspects are currently in custody, and authorities have not released further details about the individuals involved. Investigations are ongoing.
