On Friday, November 15, 2024, Curtis Ray Gentry, 46, of Paris, Texas, was arrested for theft of mail after being caught with mail stolen from several homes on Clement Road.
According to the Paris Police Department, officers received a report of a mail theft in the 900 block of Clement Road. A witness reported seeing a subject taking mail from multiple mailboxes in the area and followed the suspect. Based on the witness’s description, officers located Gentry at a business in the 1600 block of N. Main Street.
Gentry initially denied having any stolen mail, but a consensual search revealed that he had mail from six homes on Clement Road in his pocket. He was subsequently arrested for theft of mail and taken into custody without incident.
Gentry is currently facing charges related to the theft.
