On Saturday, October 26, at 11:47 AM, Paris police officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Deshong Drive following reports of a physical altercation between a male and female in a parking lot. A witness observed the male striking the female and a young child, prompting him to yell at the suspect to stop and leave the premises.
As the known suspect attempted to exit the parking lot, he reportedly stopped his vehicle, pulled out a gun, and fired a shot. The witness believed the gunfire was directed at him, but the bullet ultimately struck another vehicle parked in the lot. The bullet was later recovered from the passenger door of the affected car.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident, and the suspect remains at large.
