Lisa Adams, 62, who was reported missing from Van Zandt County on September 19, has been found deceased. Adams was last seen in the Canton area on September 12. Authorities, along with K-9 units and drones, searched the area surrounding her home but were initially unsuccessful.
On Saturday, the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office announced that Adams’ body was located in a field west of Canton, near Highway 243. A justice of the peace has ordered an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The search effort included sheriff’s deputies, Canton police, Canton ISD police, Texas Parks and Wildlife game wardens, and a K-9 team. Volunteers who knew Adams also assisted in the search, according to officials.
