On September 16, 2024, Prosper Police Officers observed suspicious behavior from the occupants of a vehicle parked at a local gas station. The officers conducted surveillance on both the vehicle and its occupants, recognizing one individual from a previous narcotics-related incident.
Officers approached the vehicle, and during their interaction with the occupants, they developed reasonable suspicion. Police K9 Swayze was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff around the vehicle. Following the K9's alert, officers searched the vehicle, uncovering suspected methamphetamine and drug-related paraphernalia.
One of the subjects was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1/1-b.
