On August 9, 2024, 32-year-old Isaiah Xyquies Johnson was arrested for Evading Arrest in a Vehicle. An officer observed Johnson traveling at approximately 50 miles per hour in the 1000 block of Fitzhugh St in Paris.
When the officer attempted to pull him over, Johnson fled, making several turns and accelerating in an effort to evade the pursuit. Johnson eventually stopped and exited his vehicle in the 800 block of NE 12th, where he was apprehended.
He was processed without incident and transported to the Lamar County Jail. Marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were discovered in Johnson’s vehicle.
