Last Friday, Paris police responded to a disturbance on NE 10th Street. Christopher Eric Tiner, 43, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a family member.
According to reports, Tiner threw the victim to the floor, causing them to hit their head. He also struck the victim with his fist and a metal gate, and threatened to kill them.
Officers noted injuries to the victim's head, which were confirmed by a witness at the scene. Tiner, who has a history of family assault, faces charges of Family Violence Assault with Previous Convictions, a felony.
The victim has requested a protective order.
