On May 21, 2024, an undercover investigation by the Henderson County Sheriff's Office into the production and possession of child pornography began. From May 21st to May 31st a suspect at the address of 1940 Kim Road in Kemp, Texas, promoted child pornography to an undercover investigator with the Henderson County Crimes Against Children Task Force.
On June 4, 2024, a search warrant was issued by 392nd Judicial District Judge Scott McKee for the address of 1940 Kim Road in Henderson County. During the execution of the search warrant, 60-year-old Tommy Ray Taylor was found to be in possession of thousands of images and videos of child pornography, some of which were victims under the age of one. Taylor was arrested and transported to the Henderson County Jail for possession of child pornography.
On June 5, 2024, Taylor was arraigned by Henderson County Justice of the Peace Precinct Tanya Norris who set Taylor’s bail at $75,000.
