Domestic Dispute Turns Deadly: Woman Arrested for Boyfriend's Murder in Henderson County

A tragic incident unfolded on Monday evening in Henderson County, as authorities responded to a distress call reporting a shooting. At approximately 8:18 pm, Patricia Childs contacted the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, informing them that she had shot her boyfriend, Troy Alldredge, outside their residence on Morning Star Circle in Eustace.

Deputies arrived at the scene, joined by emergency medical services from UT Athens, the Henderson County District Attorney’s Office, and Texas Rangers. Upon arrival, they discovered Alldredge had succumbed to his injuries, evident from gunshot wounds.

Childs was found inside the residence, where a handgun lay on the living area floor. Following a medical evaluation by EMS, she was transported to UT Athens Emergency Room.

In response to the situation, Henderson County 392nd Judicial District Judge Scott McKee authorized a search warrant for the residence. Additionally, Justice of the Peace Precinct 5 Judge Tanya Norris conducted an inquest at the scene and ordered an autopsy at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas.

After being released from UT Athens, Childs was taken into custody and charged with Murder. She is currently held at Henderson County Jail awaiting arraignment.
