Texarkana Police Arrest Man After Large Drug Seizure

On Thursday, May 23, 2024, Texarkana Police Officers arrested 44-year-old Timothy Brooks at a residence on Skyline Blvd. following the discovery of a large cache of drugs in the home.

Members of the Special Investigations Unit and the Miller County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the residence as part of a joint investigation. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 25 pounds of methamphetamine, more than 13,000 Ecstasy pills, several pounds of marijuana, and a stolen pistol.

Brooks was arrested at the scene for felony warrants, including DWI (3rd or more) and a parole violation. He is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail. Additional charges related to the drugs are expected to be filed after investigators consult with prosecutors.

The Texarkana Police Department expressed gratitude to the Miller County Sheriff's Office, as well as the Sheriff's Offices in Little River and Lafayette counties, for their assistance in the investigation.
