Rodney Dewayne Fagans, 39, of Kilgore, Texas, has been sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking in the Eastern District of Texas, announced U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs.
Fagans pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and was sentenced to 188 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Jeremy D. Kernodle on May 22, 2024.
Court proceedings revealed that Fagans and his associates confessed to selling substantial amounts of methamphetamine on multiple occasions in Gregg County. Fagans was identified as the source for three illegal drug transactions totaling 598.72 grams of methamphetamine. Fifteen others involved in the drug distribution network have also pleaded guilty and received federal prison sentences.
The operation was part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), which aims to identify, disrupt, and dismantle high-level criminal organizations posing threats to the United States. More information about the OCDETF Program can be found at https://www.justice.gov/OCDETF.
The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Gregg County Sheriff's Office, and Longview Police Department.
