On May 14, 2024, Our agency was informed by Haughton Louisiana Police that a vehicle reported stolen out of their jurisdiction was being actively pinged in the area of SH 43 S @ IH-20.
The suspect, Nicholas Toth, had sent his location to his brother, who in turn gave police the location. Deputies checked the area and located Toth sleeping tight in the vehicle’s driver seat.
After being startled awake by Deputies, Toth was instructed to exit the vehicle. A check against the National Crime Information Center revealed that the vehicle was entered as stolen.
Toth was placed under arrest and transported to the Harrison County Jail where he was booked in for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle.
