On Friday, May 10, 2024 around 10:20 pm, Terrell Police officers were patrolling the area of Breezy Hill Park located at 301 New Hope St. Officers observed a vehicle leaving the park area and a traffic stop was conducted due to expired vehicle registration.
Upon contact with the vehicle, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. All of the occupants were asked to step out of the vehicle and a probable cause search was conducted.
While conducting a search on the vehicle, marijuana, THC cartridges and two handguns were located. The marijuana and THC cartridges were located in a backpack in the left rear passenger floorboard. One handgun was located under the front seat and the other handgun was located in a backpack in the back floorboard.
Kanye J Nix, 19-year-old male from Terrell, was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 2 >=4G<200G. Thomas G Brown, 19-year-old male from Terrell and Kameron K Davis, 19-year-old male from Forney, were both arrested for Unlawful Carrying Weapon.
