Man Arrested Following Police Chase Linked to Stolen Vehicle in Sulphur Springs

Amario Feliciano Zamora

A 25-year-old man, Amario Feliciano Zamora, was arrested on May 8th around 1:50 pm after a police chase in Sulphur Springs. Police attempted to pull over Zamora's vehicle, but he fled onto the interstate and then onto a service road. With the help of a stop stick, officers successfully stopped the vehicle, leading to Zamora's arrest.

Initially, officers were unaware that the truck Zamora was driving had been reported stolen. Later in the day, the owner reported that a silver truck matching the license plates of Zamora's vehicle had been stolen from his residence. The stolen vehicle matched the description of the one involved in the chase. The complainant confirmed that Zamora did not have permission to operate the stolen truck.

Zamora faces charges of evading arrest with a vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $125,000.

On May 7, 2024, Zamora was arrested for interference with railroad property. He was out on bond for those charges when he was arrested again.

Earlier in the year, on January 7, 2024, Zamora had been arrested in Titus County for Criminal Mischief.
