Paris Police responded to a disturbance at the Sunset Lounge early Monday morning, finding an adult female with facial lacerations. Witnesses pointed to Hunter Armstrong as the assailant.
The victim received medical treatment and was taken to Paris Regional Health Emergency Room.
Armstrong, off-duty at the time, was arrested for Felony Assault, Interference with Emergency Request for Assistance, and Public Intoxication. He was booked into Lamar County Jail and relieved of duty pending investigation and criminal proceedings.
