On Monday evening, April 20, 2024, in the 900 block of West Center Street, a female victim reported to a Paris Officer that her ex-boyfriend had attempted to strangle her.
The incident occurred around 6:25 PM and lasted approximately two minutes. Officers observed visible bruising on her neck consistent with strangulation.
Subsequently, Damian Glen Hood, aged 18, returned to retrieve his personal belongings and was arrested for Felony Assault Family/House Member Impeding Breath/Circulation. Hood was booked into the Paris Jail following his arrest. His bond was set at $5,000.
