Titus County Fugitive Captured in Missouri After Year-Long Manhunt

22-year-old fugitive Kolby Dwayne Roach has been captured in Garden City, Missouri, following a joint operation between the Titus County Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement in Cass County, MO. Acting on a tip-off regarding Roach’s whereabouts, authorities took him into custody on a felony capias from Titus County, TX, which had been pending for over a year. Roach also faces felony charges in Missouri for being a fugitive in the state.

The charges against Roach stem from a 2022 incident where he assaulted a Titus County Deputy during the execution of a search warrant for the arrest of another fugitive connected to him. Although initially sentenced to probation for the offense, Roach failed to comply with probation requirements, leading to the capias for his arrest.

Since then, numerous searches were conducted in and around Titus County and also enlisted aid of Missouri law enforcement officials in several jurisdictions.

"Fugitives could save themselves a lot of stress and worry with just turning themselves in at a time and a place of their choosing rather trying to postpone the inevitable. Felony capias’s and felony arrest warrants do not have an expiration date.", said the Titus County Sheriff's Office in a statement.
