Three people are dead and three others injured following a multi-car crash in Berryville, Henderson County, on Thursday afternoon, April 18th.
According to a preliminary report from the DPS, the incident occurred around 5 p.m. when a 2016 Ford Fusion exiting a private drive onto SH 155 failed to yield to a 2014 Honda Accord traveling north on the road.
The Accord collided with the Fusion, causing it to cross into the south lane where it was struck by a 2018 Hyundai Elantra.
Douglas Norwood, 84, and Janet Norwood, 78, both from Larue, Texas, who were in the Ford Fusion, were pronounced dead at the scene. Carol Mitchell, 71, from Lake Lavasu City, Arizona, a passenger in the Elantra, also succumbed to injuries at the scene. The driver and another passenger in the Elantra were hospitalized, along with the driver of the Accord.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
