The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit conducted a drug interdiction operation on US 80 West of Gladewater. During a traffic stop for a violation, investigators seized 163 grams of methamphetamine and $2,343 in cash.
Gerald Hosea Gibson from Kilgore, TX, the driver, was arrested and taken to the Upshur County Jail. Gibson faces charges of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1 over 4 grams but less than 200 grams, a first-degree felony. Gibson remains in jail on a $100,000 bond.
