Forney Police Searching for Missing Man After Fleeing Car Crash

Waid Robison

The search for 22-year-old Waid Robison, who went missing after a single-vehicle accident on Highway 80 near FM 460 early Sunday morning, has entered a crucial phase. Robison fled the scene on foot following the accident, prompting authorities to officially classify the incident as a missing persons case.

In a collaborative effort involving the Forney Police Department, Forney Fire Department, Texas Game Wardens, Kaufman County Constable's Office, and private search organizations, intensive search operations have been underway since the incident. However, the situation took a turn today as authorities announced a temporary suspension of water-based search activities.

The decision to halt water-based operations comes in response to the scheduled opening of a nearby dam, posing safety concerns and affecting water conditions. Despite this setback, search efforts on land continue unabated.

In a bid to accelerate the search, authorities have released a photo of Waid Robison and are urging the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding his whereabouts. The support and cooperation of the community are crucial in aiding ongoing search efforts.

The Forney Police Department expressed gratitude to the Forney Fire Department, Texas Game Wardens, Kaufman County Constable's Office, and all volunteers for their unwavering dedication and assistance in the search for Waid Robison. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and authorities encourage anyone with relevant information to contact local authorities immediately.
