Man Sentenced to 60 Years in Prison for Kidnapping and Sexually Abusing Honey Grove Teen

The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office announced that Nolan Neighbors was found guilty and sentenced to 60 years in prison.

On June 14, 2022, 31-year-old Nolan Neighbors, drove to Honey Grove in Fannin County and kidnapped 13-year-old Kionna Braxton.  Konna's Mom arrived from home after midnight to find that she was missing.  After contacting police, an Amber Alert was issued.

Neighbors had taken the teen back to his apartment in Arlington where he continuously sexually abused her.

With help from the FBI, DPS, and the Arlington Police Department, the victim was found in South Arlington.  Neighbors had kept her hidden in the closet until Arlington Police Officers showed up and rescued her.

At the time of arrest, Detectives said that Neighbors and the teen had been chatted online and arranged to meet.

"This case was finally taken to trial and the jury returned a swift guilty verdict. Sending a message that we protect children in our community," said Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney Deanna Franzen.

Neighbors was sentenced to 5 years for Aggravated Kidnapping and 20 years for each count of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child (3 counts).   The judge stacked the sentences making the defendant spend the next 60 years in prison.

The Arlington Police Department investigated the case.
