On Saturday, April 20, 2024, tragedy struck as Princeton Officer Nancy Dominguez was involved in an off-duty motor vehicle accident. The incident occurred around 5:20 pm at the intersection of E. Lucas Road and Lakeview Drive.
Officer Dominguez was rushed to Medical City McKinney for treatment of her injuries, but unfortunately, she did not survive.
Officer Dominguez had been a valued member of the Princeton Police Department since July 25, 2022. During her service, she garnered several accolades, including being named Rookie of the Year for both 2022 and 2023. Additionally, she received the Citizen Commendation Award, multiple Letters of Commendations from the Department, the 2023 Life Saving Award, and multiple RISE Awards.
"As we mourn the loss of Officer Dominguez, please keep her family, fellow officers and coworkers, and friends in your thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace, Officer Dominguez.", said the Princeton Police Department in a statement.
