Harrison County Deputies, on routine patrol along Gum Springs Rd in Longview, conducted a traffic stop resulting in the apprehension of 36-year-old George Robert Bryant Jr of Tatum, TX, and 38-year-old Erica Rae Martin of Longview.
Upon engagement, the suspects attempted to tamper with evidence, prompting deputies to intervene. Observing the suspects trying to discard a gallon-size zip lock bag, deputies intervened and discovered its contents: 30 grams of methamphetamines, 35 grams of marijuana, Xanax pills, and THC vapes.
The couple faces charges of tampering with evidence, manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance (4-200 grams), possession of controlled substance PG3 (less than 28 grams), and possession of marijuana. The bond for both was set at $135,000.
