Paris Police Officers conducted a search in the vicinity of 1300 Shiloh St on Monday, April 15, 2024, following reports of possibly armed individuals who had fled on foot from an officer.
During the search, an officer in an unmarked vehicle spotted a person matching the description of the suspects in the 400 block of NW 13th.
The officer approached the individual, later identified as Zachari Jerod Johnson, 31, who attempted to flee on foot. A pursuit ensued, and Johnson was apprehended by officers in the 1300 block of W. Houston.
Upon arrest, Johnson was found to be in possession of marijuana. He now faces charges of evading arrest and possession of marijuana under two ounces.
