On April 14, 2024, at around 1:45 am, Sherman Police Department (PD) received a distress call regarding a shooting incident in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an adult male victim with gunshot wounds, who was taken to a nearby hospital. The victim was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.
The Sherman PD initiated an investigation into the incident, collaborating with the Texas Rangers to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the homicide. During the course of their preliminary actions, officers detained 40-year-old Rameon Quabell Jordan of Sherman.
Further inquiries by Sherman PD Detectives and the Texas Rangers implicated Jordan as the primary suspect in the victim's death. Consequently, Jordan was placed under arrest on charges of Murder and subsequently transported to Grayson County Jail.
