Following a social media post threatening local institutions, Sherman PD and Sherman ISD Police Department launched a joint investigation on April 9, 2024. The threats targeted Ruiz Foods, Tyson Foods, Sherman High School, and Denison High School.
The investigation led authorities to a 24-year-old Sherman resident, Arthur Glenn Thomas. Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Thomas on four counts of Terroristic Threat. Thomas was apprehended at his residence on April 11, 2024, following diligent work by law enforcement.
