On March 27, Wood County Deputies performed a warrant service for a man wanted in Oklahoma. The individual, identified as Joey Don Grant, was located on FM 2966 in Quitman.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Grant while he was inside his camper. Grant refused to exit the camper. After the deputies spoke with him, he eventually agreed to come out peacefully.
Grant was arrested for the outstanding warrant our of Commanche County for Lewd or Indecent Act with Child under 16. His bond was set at $10,000.
On April 9th, Grant was extradited to Commanche County.
