Paris Police officers arrested Otis D’Angelo Knight, 37, on Tuesday following reports of a vehicle driving recklessly in the 3700 block of Lamar Ave. The officers spotted the vehicle heading west on Lamar Avenue and attempted to pull it over. Despite making several turns in an attempt to evade them, the driver eventually stopped in the 2700 block of Lamar.
Instead of cooperating, the driver exited the vehicle and entered a nearby store in an apparent bid to escape arrest. However, he was located by another officer in the 2500 block of E. Price. Upon identification, it was discovered that Knight was intoxicated. Additionally, officers found Marijuana in his possession.
Knight, who had previously been convicted twice for DWI offenses, faced charges of DWI 3rd or more and Possession of Marijuana. Throughout the arrest process, Knight exhibited aggressive and uncooperative behavior. He was promptly transported to Lamar County Jail to await further legal proceedings.
