Paris Police are investigating an assault that took place on Monday, April 8th, in an apartment located in the 2900 block of Clarksville.
According to reports, a 22-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted by her 19-year-old boyfriend during a verbal argument. The victim stated that the altercation escalated when her boyfriend slapped her in the face and proceeded to hit her with his fist on her head and arms.
Following the incident, the victim left the scene and sought refuge elsewhere. Officers responded to the incident but were unable to locate the suspect at the time.
In response to the situation, an Emergency Protective Order was requested on behalf of the victim and her minor child. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
