Gunshots Fired into Residence in Heartland Community

On April 4, 2024, around 9:19 pm, Crandall Police Officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 4000 block of Rolling Rock Rd, situated in the Heartland Community. Multiple calls alerted authorities to the incident.

Upon arrival, Crandall Officers, aided by Kaufman County Sheriff Deputies, conducted a thorough search of the area, prompted by the limited information provided by the callers. However, they were unable to locate any suspects.

Initial investigations revealed that shots had been fired into a residence, causing damage to a vehicle parked inside the garage. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

Detectives leading the investigation believe this to be an isolated incident specifically targeted at the location. They have stated that it is unrelated to a shooting that occurred in the area last week.

Crandall Police are actively gathering information on potential suspect(s) and are seeking the public's assistance. Any additional evidence or information pertaining to the incident can be forwarded to lead Detective J. Massey via email at jmassey@crandallpolice.com or by phone at 972-427-3767 ext. 201.
