On April 2nd, 2024, Royse City Police Department responded to an aggravated robbery report at the Walmart parking lot on IH-30. The victim arranged to meet an unknown individual from Facebook Marketplace, but upon arrival, was robbed at gunpoint. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his 40s, escaped in a black Dodge Durango. Royse City PD is investigating.
