Paris Police Seize Methamphetamine and Oxycodone in Traffic Stop, Make Arrests

On Friday, March 29, at 10:50 pm, Paris Police officers conducted a routine traffic stop on a pickup truck in the 200 block of Northwest 31st Street in Paris. The stop was initiated due to traffic and registration violations. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers made contact with the three occupants.

During the interaction, one of the passengers, identified as Taryn Leigh Blalock, 39, was observed exiting the vehicle while attempting to conceal an item under her shirt. Upon further investigation, Blalock was found to be in possession of a large zipper bag containing methamphetamine and oxycodone hydrochloride.

As a result, Blalock was arrested and booked on two felony counts of Manufacture-Delivery Controlled Substance due to the quantity of drugs found in her possession. Additionally, the passenger seated on the right side of the vehicle, identified as Rocky Glenn Sikes, 62, was charged with Class B Possession of Marijuana.

The driver of the vehicle was released at the scene following the completion of the investigation.
